I spent towards the end of yesterday and indeed the wake of this morning listening to a recorded preaching I was privileged to give in Shepard's Flock, Ikeja in 2010. I have reviewed the tapes so many times and each time it encourages me when I feel low and down. I will forever remain grateful to Pastor Sean Akinrele for inviting me to teach or is it preach at the time. Some said it was an emotional message but I hope they were blessed by God.
Yesterday I had a pointed but very encouraging response to my blog from an old friend Kola, he assured me that my joy has come! I believe him, for things are now steadier and my memory of Folashade now focuses more on the happy moments I had with my twin rather than her loss for she made it to heaven.
I have also continued to enjoy my old Staff School mates, regaling ourselves with snippets of memories, beautiful written prose and developing a mutual appreciation society of our respective gifts and talents. They are very remarkable individuals and they constantly remind me of our fortunate and blessed we were to be give the best start in life by our parents.
